Automated UT scanners (crawlers) are used to rapidly inspect the thickness of large metallic structures at small measurement intervals, providing a high-detail thickness map of the scanned surface.

This portable TurnKey, automated Non-Destructive inspection system is a fully integrated solution for high-speed scanning (scan velocities over 0.5m/sec) and ultrasonic (UT) inspection requirements of large steel structures (vessels, towers, tanks, tank floors etc.).

The system is configured to perform wall thickness inspection in order to detect erosion and/or corrosion, but can be easily modified (by adding optional angle beam transducer adapters and multi-channel C-Scan) for Weld Seam Quality Inspection and Imaging for Pipe, as well as plate geometries.

The thickness measurement software module exports detailed inspection data directly to commercial spreadsheets (MS ExcelŽ included) for analysis, graphics and custom reports. API-653 compliant data reporting templates are also included.

The TurnKey configuration includes all components needed for on-site inspection and reporting, including host PC, all ultrasonic hardware and software, the fully automated RS-3b scanner (with manual joystick capability) and portable color printer.
